Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best known for her roles in TV series The Shield and True Blood. In the years since her debut, she's shown her range of talents by appearing on series such as Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. Anna's character on Assault on Precinct 13 was her debut big breakthrough. The film was primarily for her portrayal of the feminist Fannie Louis Hamer in the biography film All the Way, which gave her the respect she was due as an actor. Hind was also praised for her role as Harriet Tubman's in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the series will be renewed for another season. Hind completed filming for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, a Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is set to be released by the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj passed away in March of 2017 following a lengthy career as a scientist with India's Army. Vrinda, her mother, is a homemaker. She has an older brother Aditya Rai who is an engineer for the Merchant Navy. The brother of Bachchan co-produced and wrote the film Dil Ka Rishta with their mother. Bachchan was a student at Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Mumbai which is where her family moved to. She completed her intermediate education at Jai Hind College for a year prior to enrolling in D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga. The college scored 91% on her H.S.C. exams. She was a classical music student and dance for 5 years in her teens. Zoology was her favorite subject. Bachchan took a course in architecture after she took home the title Miss World 1994. This title pushed her into the world of modeling's fast pace. She was offered high-paying jobs with PepsiCo Inc. as well as Vogue magazine. She also was offered a contract to be an L'Oreal Paris spokesmodel. Her acting career began in a positive direction with her highly acclaimed performances on Iruvar (1997) as well as Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997). Both of these films challenged the fundamental form that was prevalent in Bollywood movies at the time, propelling Bachchan into the front of her own New Bollywood. Bachchan's heartbreaking portrayal of Paro an adoring lover who is livid by her lover in Devdas (2002) which was one of the most famous Bollywood movies of the time and first shown at Cannes Film Festival cemented her as Queen of Bollywood. The film received a lot of praise for her role in Chokher Bali (2003) which was a dramatic, ad-hoc drama that was based on the Rabindranath Tag novel. In that same year she was the sole Indian actor on the Cannes Film Festival jury. Bachchan played the role of Bride and Prejudice, a musical and dancing adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Gurinderchadha. It was at this point that Bachchan made her famous by bringing star power and attractiveness to her debut big English-language feature. In 2006, she returned to Bollywood by starring in the hit movie Dhoom: 2 before releasing Provoked: The True Story (2006). Abhishek Bachchan was a frequent actor, and was the son of Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan. In April 2007, she tied the knot with her. This union brought together two powerful Indian personalities.
