Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actress who is best known for her roles in TV series The Shield and True Blood. In the years since her debut, she's shown her range of talents by appearing on series such as Under the Dome, 9-1-1 Detroit and 1-8-7. Anna's character on Assault on Precinct 13 was her debut big breakthrough. The film was primarily for her portrayal of the feminist Fannie Louis Hamer in the biography film All the Way, which gave her the respect she was due as an actor. Hind was also praised for her role as Harriet Tubman's in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that the series will be renewed for another season.
